October 11, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

climate matters

Join The Sierra Club, Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment, HEAL Utah and The Bee for a climate-themed storytelling workshop. Learn how to become an effective climate messenger, as we network and create our personal narrative on why climate matters for each of us.

What: Climate Matter: The Power of Personal Narrative
When: Wednesday, October 11th, 6:00 – 9:00 PM
Where: The Clubhouse (850 East S. Temple, SLC, UT 84102)

This event is hosted as part of the Utah Climate Week series of events, in partnership with the Utah Climate Action Network.

The evening will start with a half hour to socialize over some snacks. Mingle with staff and volunteers of the hosting organizations, and learn more about our campaigns to address climate change in Utah. Then, at 6:30 PM, participate in an interactive workshop, led by The Bee creator and host, Giuliana Serena. Don’t miss your opportunity to hone your skills as a storyteller as she teaches us how to harness the power of our personal stories to effect change. Finally, participants will be invited to record their stories on video and audio as part of a partnership with Spy Hop and team of youth filmmakers. Share your story on social media and we can spread the word that Utahns fight for climate justice! #UTClimateMatters #UnmaskMyCity

The event is free, but please RSVP here!
